Fulton Houses lights up the night with Xmas

At Fulton Houses’ annual Holiday Party on Friday, after lighting the large outdoor Christmas tree, residents and their children filed into the Community Center on Ninth Avenue between 17th and 18th Streets, where folks from the General Theological Seminary sang Christmas carols while members of Origins, a recently formed Chelsea church, dressed as Santa’s helpers, circulating through the crowd and visiting with children. At one point, Santa Claus made an appearance, plopping down into a chair onstage and visiting with every child in the room. Each received a wrapped gift, courtesy of GTS, as well as a toy from the Origins church members. Joining in the festivities were members of the Explorers from the police PSA 4, as well as several police and auxiliary officers.
