Setting sail on a two-hour tour

A two-hour boat tour of the New York-New Jersey waterfront sponsored by the Working Harbor Committee and the South St. Seaport Museum begins at 3 p.m. Mon. Oct. 8 from Pier 16 at the foot of Fulton St. at South St. The Zephyr, a three-deck luxury tour boat operated by Circle Line Downtown will take guests along the Brooklyn waterfront across to Staten Island and the tug yards in Kill Van Kull, the container ports in Newark Bay and back past the Statue of Liberty to South St.

Harbor experts including Helen Sun of Harley Marine and Capt. John Doswell of the Working Harbor Committee will narrate the history and highlights of the harbor. Tickets are $25 general admission and $20 for seniors and children. Reservations are recommended by phone at 212:581-0405 or online at www.workingharbor.org
