Taking a page out of Jane Jacobs’ playbook

Christine Berthet (left), CB 4 Transportation Committee co-chairperson, and Julie Maris/Semel, an artist and photographer, stand in front of their contributions to “Jane Jacobs and the Future of New York” at the Municipal Art Society on Tuesday night. Berthet and Maris/Semel, who enjoyed the Opening Party festivities, were selected to canvass their Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood, surveying buildings for the show. The exhibit is open to the public and will run through Jan. 5, 2008. The Society is located at 457 Madison Ave. at 51st St. Entry is on Madison Avenue through the courtyard.
