Resplendent commencement at G.T.S.
Friends, trustees, students and faculty members of The General Theological Seminary gathered at 11 a.m. on Wednesday for the institutions 185th Commencement Exercises.
The seminary conferred degrees and honors during a service recited in Latin according to a form unchanged since the late 19th century. A total of 55 women and men received degrees, diplomas or certificates from the Seminarys Dean, the Very Rev. Ward B. Ewing. Of these, 36 persons were awarded the Master of Divinity degree. The Seminary also awarded its honorary doctorate to five persons with distinguished and faithful ministries worldwide.
