Ostriches strut their stuff
You can sure see a lot of characters on the streets of Chelsea. But it was a first when on Nov. 2 some baby ostriches were spotted strolling along 26th St. between Seventh and Eighth Aves. They were on their way to “The Martha Stewart Show” studio, where they were guests, along with “animal ambassador” Julie Scardina and Barry Manilow. Talk about a “really big show.” These flightless birds can weigh up to 300 pounds. They have very strong legs, and adult ostriches can knock out a lion with a single kick.
