ART BASEL MIAMI
A record 43,000 people descended on South Florida for the 2007 Art Basel Miami Beach recently. Held Dec. 69, with events going on throughout the entire week, the fair has become the most important contemporary art show in the Americas. Photographer Linda Troeller, who lives in and photographs the Hotel Chelsea, popped in to see if it was all that it was cracked up to be, pressing flesh with curators, gallerists, fellow artists, socialites and collectors from around the world. Along the way, she discovered Chelsea was well-represented at the sixth-annual bacchanal, and captured some of the neighborhood action in Miami.
