NYC Grows takes root in Union Square A free all-day interactive garden festival, NYC Grows, will take place in Union Sq. Park beginning at 9 a.m. Sat. April 28, hosted by the Department of Parks and Recreation and the National Gardening Association and presented by Target. The second annual event is the culmination of National Garden Month, a month of citywide garden-related activities, and will feature gardening exhibits and demonstrations, gardening tips by experts, healthy cooking by celebrity chefs, plants for purchase and giveaways.
